MP Board Student in Class 11? How to Prepare for NEET Alongside School

· Aayam NEET faculty

Students from MP Board schools study in the same NEET batches as CBSE students at Aayam, and Hindi-medium students appear on our NEET results list. Coming from a state board is not a disadvantage if you start early and plan the week well. This guide is for students starting Class 11.

NEET is built on NCERT

The NEET syllabus follows NCERT Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Biology. MP Board science largely uses NCERT textbooks too, so school study and NEET study overlap far more than most students think. The difference is depth: NEET asks you to apply concepts quickly in multiple-choice questions.

Handling the English–Hindi switch

NEET can be taken in Hindi, but most reference material and test series are in English. Keep a small glossary of Biology and Chemistry terms in both languages for the first few months. Within a term, most students find the switch stops slowing them down.

A weekly plan that fits school

  • Attend school for practicals and board-relevant topics; keep coaching for NEET depth.
  • Revise each coaching class on the same day, even if only for 30 minutes.
  • Solve NCERT exercise questions first, then NEET-level questions.
  • Take one test every week and review it before the next class.
  • Keep one day a week lighter to catch up on school work.

Don't ignore Class 11

Roughly half of NEET comes from the Class 11 syllabus. Topics like mechanics, chemical bonding, organic basics and plant physiology are the base for Class 12. Students who leave Class 11 to the dropper year usually struggle.

Use board exams to your advantage

Board preparation in Class 12 revises NCERT once more. If you have kept up with NEET-level practice through Class 11, board study becomes revision rather than a separate burden.

Aayam's NEET Vision course is a two-year programme that starts in Class 11 and runs alongside school. Book a counselling visit to see a class before you decide.
